Hyland to play
The Dawgs also signed infielders Shay Schanaman from University of Nebraska, and Kobe Hyland of University of Houston, and catcher Cole MacLaren of Pitt.
The Dawgs participate in the Western Canadian Baseball League. The WCBL boasts a long standing tradition of creating a showcase for top Canadian collegiate athletes while at the same time offering American college players the opportunity to hone their skills in front of enthusiastic baseball fans in towns and cities throughout the Prairies.

Odd. I looked this up online and Kobe isn’t on their roster, but Esau is.

Things can change with these rosters pretty quickly.
There’s a few you may be able to catch somewhere. Cape Cod probably broadcasts somewhere. Once they get going, I’ll probably check on them.

Incoming JUCO player Ryan Hernandez from San Jac is with the Watertown Rapids, part of the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League.
Hernandez, who also played for Mohawk Valley last season, leading the league in batting average and was among the leaders in home runs and RBI, connected on a solo home run in the sixth inning and added an RBI single for the DiamondDawgs, who totaled 14 hits on the night.
“All the guys are playing their parts and we’re getting timely hitting,” Hernandez said. “So when everyone’s contributing and doing what they’re supposed to be, we’re going to be the team to beat.”
