There hasn’t been a whole lot of history but I saw one trend that I didn’t like. All three years, the 3 seed was upset in their first game.
2014: #3 SMU 64 vs. #6 Houston 68
2015: #6 Connecticut 57 vs. #3 Cincinnati 54
2016: #6 Memphis 89 vs. #3 Tulsa 67
On the bright side, all 3 years, Houston won it’s first game.
