AAC with 3 ranked. UCF-#14, Memphis-#20, USF-#22

Yea its unfortunate the hurricane has hurt them this much.

The question is, where’s Aresco at this point. He should be out there on every radio/TV broadcast he can get on and start defending the conference.

David Boren would be all over it, has been since the big12 has been left out for the past three years, if I’m not mistaken.

Eric, it does not matter. Other AAC Teams had a stronger SOS. It did not get them higher. Do you think P5 Teams will want to schedule us if we prove we can compete at the highest level? We might get a ttl or a UA but that will be it. So we schedule P5 Teams but they are not good and unranked. What happens next? That’s right SOS. We are again excluded Eric. This is a scam period. We gotta find a way to change this. This is a legal issue.
So UCF is going to play in the NY Bowl. There are going to get peanuts vs the P5 Team. It happened to us against FSU.
Why does Div I Football exist if you can play for the Championship? What’s the point and what’s the point into spending all of this money for new facilities?

At least some of the college football experts are saying their piece.

Had they throttled GT they STILL would not be in the discussion.
If we ran the table last year in a year where we beat OU and UL, two top five schools, the CFP committee would have STILL found a way to exclude us and put in OU.

Exactly, the P5 teams schedule the weakest of the G5 teams. And if there is a chance that that team gets good between scheduling them and the year they play then they exercise their buyout. It’s BS.

Happened every year to the MWC when BYU, Utah, and TCU were kicking ass. They had several years ranked above the ACC and PAC 10.

So ESPN move Utah to the PAC 10, TCU to the Big East, BYU an Indy contract when the MWC got BSU.

When the AAC gets too strong ESPN will break it up. And the lucky teams will get paid. But what should happen is that everyone gets into the CFP if they win their conference. They could leave the conferences alone and the power could shift to the teams/conferences that do well.

I disagree as we were 6th before the Navy loss.

use pairwise

That was AP, not CFP. The CFP has shown a tendency to place non-P5s 5 to 6 spots behind where they appear in the AP.

This is what folks need to come to terms with. No G5 will ever be allowed to sit at the table. EVER!

Case in point last year when the Oklahoma AD admitted they would not have scheduled us if they would have known we were going to be good.

This is why we really have to capitalize on the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

Even if we go undefeated next season, we will not make the playoffs. However, we start the 2019 season against OU. Then 2 games later we play Washington State. Let’s hope both of those teams are ranked high in 2019 which they should be. Of course we also have to win those games

Our best shot at playoffs is the 2019 season. That’s also assuming we go undefeated or only lose 1 game against a GOOD AAC team. We CANNOT have a trap game in either 2018 or 2019 seasons.
