After the Navy Loss

We were ranked 11th. Here were the teams ahead of us, and how many times they have lost since the Navy game.

  1. Alabama
  2. Ohio St (1 or 2 losses)
  3. Clemson (1 loss)
  4. Michigan (1 or 2 losses)
  5. Washington (1 loss)
  6. A&M (3 losses)
  7. Louisville (lost to Houston)
  8. Nebraska (2 losses)
  9. Baylor (4 losses)
  10. Wisconsin
  11. HOUSTON
  12. West Virginia (2 losses)
  13. Florida St (1 loss)
  14. Boise (1 loss)
  15. Florida (1 loss)

If we had gotten back on track against SMU and passed the eye test against American foes, we currently would be ranked behind, at most:

  1. Alabama
  2. Ohio St
  3. Michigan
  4. Wisconsin
  5. Clemson
  6. Washington

With the Ohio St/Michigan loser likely falling behind us. Oklahoma would be ranked right behind us.

If we were 11-0, we’d be #2.

IF “ifs” and “buts” were candy and nuts we’d all have a merry Christmas… I get what you’re saying just giving you a hard time. This could’ve been the year to break into the playoffs which really would’ve made the Big 12 look foolish.
