The home half of the ninth inning was the loudest I’ve ever heard Cougar baseball fans. It was soooo close. Ags knew it too. They escaped by their short hairs.

The unfortunate part is that you will not have too many Super Regional at home against a school like Davidson - newcomers to the big stage this year. Looking forward to next year

Monday’s loss closed the book on yet another impressive season led by head coach Todd Whitting as the Cougars finished with a 42-21 overall record and a 23-9 mark at home.

The Cougars tallied 42 wins – third 40-win season under Whitting.
2017 marked first year since 2000 that a program has notched a regular-season title and a conference-tournament title.
Houston hosted an NCAA Regional for the fourth time in program history (2017, 2015, 2000, 1999).
The Cougars made their 21st NCAA Regional appearance.
