I really can’t think of a better player the Astros/Colts have ever had and I have been following them since the beginning. Biggio, Bags and others have all been great but this guy has performed at a high level in both the regular season and the playoffs…he is our all time MVP in my opinion…

The Astros may have had the two greatest 2B of all time with Biggio and Altuve. Tuve obviously has to have a full career, but still incredible.

The Yankees made Jeter their captain. I wonder if it would be possible to give Altuve that title in Houston. He signed a long term deal and has been here through the tough times and is in the middle of the big moments.

Altuve is on track to get into the conversation of GOAT 2B. Hornsby and Morgan are generally considered the best followed by Robinson, Carew and Collins

Considering what happened in the top of the ninth, I think Chapman’s reaction was spot on. Sheer and utter disbelief. He’s such a great closer and was cruising towards the tenth… and then BOOM. Sometimes you gotta just tip your cap… and I think that smirk was his way of doing that…“WOW… that just happened!”

Kent has been eligible for several years and hasn’t come close. He maxed out at ~17% and dropped last year. It’s highly unlikely he gets in from the writers.

Maybe the veteran’s committee takes a different stance on him.
