He came over from Houston Baptist, but yes, very sorry to hear that.
I remember watching him play at Hofheinz.
Yeah running my years together thinking of another transfer from HBU but never realized he was once married to Jolanda Jones
Pat Foster hired Coach Tommy Jones when HBU shut down their program & Alvaro signed with us. Real contributor.
He was a really fine player. I hate to hear he has passed so young.

Was his death because he contracted the Coronavirus?
RIP.
I read online that he was hospitalized with kidney failure, so I assume it is related to that.
I believe he had cancer.
Grateful Alvaro chose UH to continue his basketball career.
I hope his family finds peace in his passing.
