(AP) “Houston’s Kelvin Sampson moved past Alden Pasche as the third-winningest coach in school history behind Guy Lewis (592) and Pat Foster (142). He’s 136-57 in six seasons with the Cougars, whose 80 victories over the past three seasons are the fourth most in the nation behind Gonzaga, Virginia and Duke. Pasche was 135-116 from 1946-56.“
By the end of this season he will be the second winningest coach in Cougar history. Kellen just might bypass Guy Lewis. The program is in unbelievably good shape.
Hope you are right about Kellen.
Hahaha! I think he will be good too, but slow that roll! If (BIG IF) he can coach the team for 20 years, he would still need 30 wins a year.
I like the optimism, but the chances of it happening are damn near non-existent
.
CKS will finish with the highest winning % in history of UofH. He could become the greatest coach of all time, if he could win a national championship here! A know some people say that is heresy b/c of Guy V. but it would at least be a good argument.
I’ll gladly participate in any argument if we can have a national championship.
