I spoke to a security guard after the fracas had ended. He said it looks like it was a pretty big fight involving a lot of people wearing purple. He said a chair was thrown. Based on what he told me it’s possible it could have between the Greek tailgaters and Memphis fans.

I doubt the Memphis fans would be out there at that time. Regardless, I would hate to think one off our fraternities would engage in fighting with visiting fans. I think it was between two different fraternities, which is bad enough. IIRC, the Alpha Phi Alpha fraternity was set up there and had a lot of people partying. I remember being impressed by the size of their group when I walked by.
