Yep. Right now we have bad defense, not because we have bad players though. Our secondary has not been properly coached in basic pass defense, playing the ball, and open field tackling.
We have a good QB but he has gotten careless with the ball when running. I don’t know what his coach does to remedy that sort of thing but hopefully it includes lots of grass drills after practice and living with the ball in you hands every day, carrying it to class, hugging it when you go to sleep. And, SOMEONE PLEASE TEACH KP TO SWITCH THE BALL TO THE OUTSIDE WHEN HE IS GOING DOWN THE SIDELINE! Drives me nuts.
Remember that CB was a big question mark coming into the season. We’re currently starting a former walk-on and a converted wideout at corner and the 3rd guy is a player that has been picked on repeatedly over the years.
They’ve done better than expected, but Ferguson picked them apart in the 2nd half.
