No offense to Simmons here, but there are other options. Players have gone overseas during that year, made money, and still come back to get drafted. No one forced him into going to LSU. Also, if you’re upset about having to wait a year to go to the NBA, then blame the NBA. NCAA Basketball has a lot wrong with it, but Simmons comes off as entitled here.

I can be a voice for everybody in college. I’m here because I have to be here [at LSU]. … I can’t get a degree in two semesters, so it’s kind of pointless. I feel like I’m wasting time.”
