Up for another weekly award after beating Cibolo Steele:
Julon Williams, Judson (Texas). Threw for 289 yards and 4 TDs in 35-28 win against Steele (Texas).
Intangibles: Julon Williams did not play in Judson’s only loss of the season, a 40-37 overtime setback to Smithson Valley. In the other 10 games, the Rockets have outscored their opponents by an average of 50-18

Heard through the grapevine that Julon will not just be an early signee, but an early enrollee as well. Should be there in the spring if everything goes well.

Wow! That’s great, he will get a lot of time in spring camp to get up to speed which means he will likely be playing in the fall. He could fit in it so many different areas of need with us losing a lot from the seniors this year. Wide receiver, running back, and they might create packages for him at quarterback too.

Julon’s going to Tulane this weekend. I’ve heard he’s solid to UH, so maybe he just wants to check out New Orleans.

We need all the skill guys we can get. We should sign a guy like Julon every year in the Tyron Carrier/ Vincent Marshall role.

If he was 6’2" instead of 5’10, he’d be a four or five star. Some of his highlights are just scary. Perfect for what we do. I noticed he seems comfortable in the pocket, sees the field well. We win!!
247 has him as a 4 star; their composite has him as a 3 star. You’re right, though, 2-3 inches taller, he’s probably a 4 to 5 star across the board. He’s probably also a QB at the college level as well.

CMA overall is a good evaluator on talent and looks for those guys that would be 4-5 stars if they were just a little taller or a little heavier. If class rankings were based on productivity alone i think we’d be top 25 the last 3 years.
