BOOM! c/o 2020 Kiyron Powell Commits (Update: Signed)

Young Powell is continually getting better, has great support from his mom, loves the Lord and wants to come play for Sampson and the Coogs…what more could one hope for…he could easily be a four star by next year…but who really cares as long as he ends up at UH!

And he’s 6-9, great to get big to go along with guards.

That’s the way you strut it!

Go right out there and talk about National Championships.

It’s been a long time since I heard someone say that in earnest.

You call it a dream, I call it a Vision!

Rivals moved Powell into the top 150 at 136 overall. https://n.rivals.com/prospect_rankings/rivals150/2020

Mark and Shead are also in there as 4-star recruits at 76 and 101, respectively. With all three, UH currently ranks 8th overall in team recruiting for the 2020 class.

Powell will move into the top 100 after his senior year. He’s projected for a monster senior season.

This could end up being a fantastic class and if it becomes the norm, thanks to the Sampsons, we’re going to get very spoiled as Coog Basketball fans.

No doubt. Just looking at the near future for the next two years, UH is going to be a hard team to contend with, and hopefully beyond. Once the one and done is not around, it shouldn’t affect UH at all.

See. Glad I’m not the only one thinking National title within 5 years. :sunglasses:

You have to be a “player” to even sniff any chance of making the elite eight, much less the final four.
I am very happy that we are heading in the direction we are and very content with being a tourney team after so many years of futility.
That said, if we make a final four, I will be very proud…if we win a national championship of course I will be elated.
But at this point, with the recruits we are getting, I am just hoping everybody stays healthy and happy and that we go dancing every year.
We have waited a long time to get back to this point…

If we can keep the kids from listening to agents and leeches and thinking they will be drafted (see Armoni) we can have something really special the next few years.

This is kind of a garbage attack on Armoni if you don’t know his situation specifically.

He doesn’t know the insides and the specifics why he declared; all he’s saying is that he wasn’t ready for the NBA and that an extra year would had done his game good. Who cares, he’s gonzo. Let’s move forward.
