I agree.

Very strange path to Navarro. Was at one time considered one of the elite prospects in the entire country. 247 had him in their top 200 for 2017 when they released rankings back in the middle of 2015.

Very solid add.

i was trying to find his rivals or 247 profile from HS. Do you know what he was ranked out of HS? Just curious.

247 had him as a 3* out of high school, but he had no offers.

This dude is track speed fast. As a senior, finished 1st in 5A Louisiana State Championship in the 100m (10.44), the 4x100 (41.15), 2nd in the 4x200 (1:26:73), and 4th in the 200m (21.46). He also won the 60m championship during the indoor season with a 6.83 time.

Last year, in 10 games for Navarro, he caught 20 passes for 308 yards (15.4 YPC).

From what I understand he’s still pretty active in track, any chance he works with Carl Lewis and co?

It’s possible. Navarro doesn’t have a track program so he hasn’t been running at the JUCO level.

Could be someone that tries track his senior year after his last football season.

That is 3 juco commits so far. How many jucos did we sign last year ?

I thought I read somewhere he does some training in the summer. May have misread that.

Regardless would be interesting if the track team could utilize, hone, and enhance some of that speed.

Thanks for the info I didn’t remember

10.44 is a really solid 100m time, but I’ve seen most big time college recruits breaking under 10.3 in HS. Could be a late bloomer, but he’s got some STUDs to try to beat out to get a shot as a sprinter on that track team.

According the posted article, he ran a 10.22 in HS although not at the state meet. That’s solid.

Wow, yes, 10.22 in HS is definitely solid.

Speed kills! Especially in a briles offense!

He averaged 15 yds/catch last season at Navarro. That speaks to some level of explosiveness, and hopefully he’ll become a bigger part of their offense in the coming season. The raw speed alone is worth taking a flyer on, imo.

I wonder how many yards per catch he would have if his qb could throw on the money better and lead him in sride? cant wait to see him on campus.
