Sounds like the dead period is over and time to load up the artillery for some Booms! It has been a good weekend for recruiting.

Had offers from Colorado and Iowa State as well as Tulsa and Memphis.

Three Coog coaches at Shadow Creek helping to mentor him - Tyrone Green, Demetrius Woods, and Will Gulley.

Also, Nunnery played at Westbury Christian last season where Nunnery was TAPPS Div II All-State 2nd team as a WR. He also played basketball and racked up 10.8 PPG in 35 games as a Forward.

Not to mention Boise, AF & Colo State. And Rice.

Love it. Kids with this kind of offer list should be our bread & butter.

Lot of UH guys on the Shadow Creek coaching staff. That’s how you effect a H-Town Takeover, when all the high school coaches are from UH.

I recognize Al James and Will Gulley. I think AL James had a shot at the NFL if he hadn’t got injured.

Tyrone Green has become the UH Godfather. He played tackle for Dimel and worked under Tom Nolan for a long time before venturing out. Really good guy.

“Being able to stay home and having my family to come see me play while I get coached up by a great group of guys at the University of Houston,” Nunnery Jr. said about what made UH the place for him. “Most importantly, I’m going to have an opportunity to play early as a freshman in college.”

Even though he would have traveled the globe to watch his son play college football, Nunnery Sr. did admit it’s nice he’s staying close to home.

“This is a kid I’ve supported 100 percent,” Nunnery Sr. said. “I haven’t missed any one of his football games, so there’s no reason to do so now. I wouldn’t if he’d go abroad; it’s delightful if he can stay in this community that he loves so much.”

Former Coog did it in that stadium and now a future Coog. It will be interesting if he gets a chance to do it again against WSU.
