A nine o boom…nice!
Helluva good pickup.
2 days ago announced a Top 3 of Tulsa, AF, and us. Solid commit who should help our secondary.
Love it!
Amazing academic offers in there. Impressive.
Go Coogs,
Qwan you’re not joking. 4 Ivy league offers. That’s nuts.
I wonder if he’ll enroll in the Honors College. I believe Collin Wilder is, but not sure.
Simply put, Vaughn was all over the field for the Tigers in 2016, finishing with 103 tackles, five interceptions (two returned for touchdowns), and three pass breakups. He also showed his versatility as a kick returner. Put all of it together and you have a safety who was selected a 6A first-team all-state selection by the AP.
Good looking athletic kid who is no doubt flying under the radar…glad he decided to commit and I don’t think he will regret his decision if he sticks…
Congrat’s and welcome to Garrison Vaughn. I’m looking forward to seeing him play in a UH FB uniform.
[Note: My father-in-law owns a ~200 acre ranch about 40 miles west of Belton (near Pearl TX) so I’m pretty familiar with the area around Fort Hood, Gatesville and Belton. Interesting tidbit - a few years ago, Art Briles bought the adjacent ~400 acre ranch.]
Good interview…sounds like another leader and I’m noticing a lot of these kids being very active once they commit in trying to talk to other recruits. Also heard something I keep hearing which is that the coaches are very upfront and honest with these kids about what they expect and how hard they are going to push them. Kids that are coming in aren’t afraid of what’s expected of them.

Garrison Vaughn, Belton
103-Tackles, 1-Sack, 1-CF, 1-FR, 3-PBU, 5-Interceptions (2-TD’s). 4-Interception in one game against Killeen (2-TD’s). Unanimous All-District.
I worked with a guy who went to Stanford b-school after his playing days were over.
Great class coming together!
This kid is going to be special.
