Expect speed
The Cougars offered a sneak peek of their new-look offense at last week’s Red & White Game, throwing the ball downfield several times and showing different sets and wider splits that were commonplace during offensive coordinator Kendal Briles’ time at Baylor. Briles said the Cougars will not designate inside and outside receivers, instead emphasizing speed while putting their top playmakers on the field. Stevenson would appear to fit that mold, but he has yet to see meaningful playing time after injuries derailed his first two seasons.
