The Cougars finished No. 102 nationally in turnovers with 23 lost. In a loss to Memphis that would ultimately decide the AAC West division, quarterback Kyle Postma threw one interception and fumbled the ball away twice.
“We had problems taking care of the ball at the quarterback position last year, whether or was Postma, (Kyle) Allen or D’Eriq in losses,” Applewhite told The Athletic. “We’ve got to make better decisions with the ball.”
