Needed to start a thread for Brian since he’s starting his pro career and will do great things. He’s also volunteering as a coach with UH
Is he going to pursue the steeplechase? He looked real good in the NCAA’s until he caught that barrier on the last lap.
He seems to be focusing on the mile and longer distances right now. So far, I don’t think he’s tried the steeplechase again.
It’s either steeplechase or 5k for him next year for the Olympic trials. I think he is closer in the steeplechase and that is what he ends up doing. Right now he has to keep working, make some money where he can, and be ready for that stage. We will see this summer what he ends up doing at the US championships.
Good interview with Barraza, a lot of in depth stuff on his running career. Steeple will be his focus this outdoor season.
