Hynes is from Weatherford, TX and was the 4-6A Pitcher of the Year his senior season. He was rated by Perfect Game as the 91st best player coming out of Texas high school’s last year and the 7th best LHP. He was also awarded All-Region 2nd Team.
Last year, as a freshman for Grayson, Hynes was 4-2 in 14 games/1 start. He threw 47.2 IP, gave up 52 hits, 37 runs/31 earned, 26 walks, and 51 strikeouts.
