Coach Hughey is doing a fine job. The only sad part about UCONN leaving is that our Women won’t get a chance to beat them in the regular season.

UH sit has a chance to beat them this year.

Both sides have mentioned a possible non conference matchup after next year. UCONN recruits Houston at times and Hughey and Auriemma are friends so they may go through with it.

Could happen but I think we’re a year or two away from consistent top 10 performance.

Have we had a higher-ranked recruit than Purvis since Chandi Jones?

I don’t think we have.

Hope Griggs follows her on the men’s side…

What’s your fascination with Griggs, @bigmccoog lol… Is he a family member. We get it, he’s a baller and you want him to come to UH but he’s three years away from going to college. In the meantime, UH is just starting to seriously look at the 2021 class.

I was a reporter for the Brazosport Facts when his older brother played at Brazosport. I knew their dad and loved to talk hoops with him.
He always dreamed of his kids playing at Duke, but unfortunately passed earlier this year.
Young Griggs is a very good point guard who has all the tools…and so naturally I would love to see him in a Coog uniform…
So if you want to call that fascination then do so…the kid can hoop and our coaching staff has stayed close to him and the family.
Guess they are fascinated with him also…

I’m pretty sure they don’t talk about him everyday like you do in here :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye::stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

I have never met young Griggs but I am sure he is a great kid. My son knows him from Shadow Creek High School. I have no infatuation with him and like you realize he could go in 100 different directions at any given moment.
And you will have to talks to coaches concerning how much they talk to the kid…
But to say that I am fixated on the kid is unfair. I always hope the Coogs sign the best possible players, but I am going to leave that up to the coaches…
