Looks like he was the Rhode Island Gatorade player of the year his senior year out of East Providence and played his frosh year at the CC of Rhode Island. Not exactly elite competition, but he led his team in ERA and innings pitched and struck out 13.2 per 9 (which nearly led the team).
RI is definitely off the beaten path for us, but UConn always seems to unearth guys from that region (including Mason Feole from RI) who come into college with minimal wear and tear on their arms.
I guess my only question is whether or not he’s going to try and immediately enroll or enroll in 2020.
