2022 Case Keenum Thread - Houston Texans back home where he belongs

I know I read that quote in Baylor’s magazine, but I can’t find it online. But here’s a DMN article that says the same thing.

BTW, RGIII is a complete tool. Get a load of the quote at the bottom:

Case would have left to play QB elsewhere. And Briles would have helped him do so. Les Miles and some others would have been happy with Case after his freshman year.

Wow $22m.

This website tracks players contracts. In six pro seasons CK will have earned just over $7m.

For him to triple his career salary in just one season in 2018 will be phenomenal and an incredible story arc.

Griffith and Keenum have now experienced inverse pro careers.

Griffith gets the Heisman and is the 2nd pick, with Case going undrafted despite an impressive season (and career) at UH.
RG leads the venerable Redskins franchise to the playoffs in his rookie year, while Case is saddled in practice squadron for the Texans.

Griffith gets too big for his britches and burns bridges leading to his benching and release, while Keenum digs and claws from roster to roster.

And now in 2017 one is potentially out of the game, while the other is in the top 5 espn MVP poll.

Ryan Fitzpatrick with an inferior higher education? An education is what you make of it, folks.

Well, he did go to Harvard.

Still - an unnecessary shot.

Would that shot have been taken if he’d gone to Penn State or Oregon? Of course not.

I don’t know anything about Fitzy’s education. He graduated from Harvard - OK. Whether his education was “superior” isn’t a given, but whatever.

per the internets Fitz studied economics and had a 48 out of 50 on the wonderlic (so did Greg McElroy from mighty Alabama U). Fitz’s probably the brightest player in the league I’d hazard to say.

Also as a player he did get drafted and played for 13 seasons. Not sure why he and Case Keenum are supposed to be comparisons.

“Case told me he was happy I left because coach Briles had already told him he was moving to receiver,” Griffin said.

That is straight-up BS, right there. He mighta said “I’m happy for you, Robert.”

I just don’t believe that for a nano-second.

Pride cometh before the fall. That is why Case is doing so well.

What does this stat tell you if both Keenum AND savage are rated that high?
