2022 Case Keenum Thread - Houston Texans back home where he belongs

So, of course it all matters if it comes to fruition, but the forecast for tomorrow in Philadelphia is supposed to be in the 40s. If this holds true it should be pretty good football weather for Case and throwing shouldn’t be an issue.

Heck yeah. Temp projected at 45 at kickoff and won’t go lower than 44 by 10pm finish.

It’s all setting up for the legend of Case Paul Bunyan Keenum to grow tomorrow!

Two nice articles on Case in the Chronicle today.

It’s a dynamic that’s not easy for a defense to plan for; if the opponent sends four linemen, Keenum can elude them even longer. If extra players come, he can more quickly locate someone who has beaten single coverage (or no coverage at all).

The only way to keep him from doing it is to keep him from getting started at all by sealing off his escape route from the pocket, essentially surrounding and swallowing him up before he can commence what ultimately is a much more controlled version of the Wilson/Tarkenton chicken-with-head-its-cut-off routine.

Front and center seat in front of a big screen at Fertitta’s place in Vegas, wearing my bright red UH hoodie. Let’s roll.

Never gets old watching Case marching the offense down the field like it’s the old days

Tough break on that pass INT TD…

Get it back…

Nothing going right for the Vikings.

Not a fun outing after that first drive.

Adjustments, quicker release and maybe stepping up in the pocket maybe would help.

Better “O” line play would help . . . . . weak rushing attack and mediocre pass blocking . . . . . reminds me of Texans line, and sometimes the Cougar line . . . . .

Second TO wasn’t his fault. TE did a horrible job on blitz pickup.

First TO wasn’t good.

Why would a TE have to cross across the back of the line to pick up and end rusher…there is no way.

But… they need to LET him move. Open up the run game with a passing game. Protection for the QB is NOT there.

Number 99 has failed miserably. He turned his back on the defensive right end the first sack and tried a high school block on the fumble play. The Eagles are using George Allen’s five man front
and the Vikings are not adjusting. The Viking defensive is being abused by those big bullies! The middle linebacker number 54 is being abused. He is too slow for the coverages expected. They are looking slow and lethargic on both sides of the ball. What a time to choke.

Also at least twice Diggs gets knees in the back. I think they are confusing him with Thelan
