This is off-topic a bit but why do the coaches not play Patrick Carr more? He ran all over the place in the spring game and when he has gotten mop up time in blowouts he has produced just fine.

Good question. The coaches really downplayed that Spring Game performance by consistently mentioning it came against 3rd and 4th string players. Not really sure why he hasn’t gotten a chance. I am hearing that he may get a strong look this year.

I like our young RBs, but Terence Williams would be a huge pickup. I’m sure he’s familiar with Briles as least from the recruiting process.

No, but it doesn’t seem outside the realm of possibility given the Briles connection. Just conjecture.

and his responses make it seem as if it is just a family matter and hints that he misses them too

If he does come back I will welcome him with open arms. The kid has shown flashes of greatness. As much as I dislike the Briles hire I think under his offense Duke can be a beast. Either way, I wish Duke the best of luck.

Very possible. The staff went through this last year with him, although, it didn’t get to the point of taking him off the roster.

I don’t know. I want the kid to succeed and I don’t want to downplay what might be going on personally with him. But this is 2 years in a row now. If his heart isn’t in it, for whatever reason, I don’t necessarily like the idea of continually trying to talk him into it. If he were an Adrian Peterson level talent, maybe. But we have kids on the roster who do want to be here.
