I have noticed that a lot of P5s are offering a lot of Texas 3 stars.

I think that’s where Texas’s greatest strength lies. In our depth of quality, Florida is pretty top heavy.

Just noticed that Grant Gunnell, of St Plus, a very high 4* PP QB decommitted from A&M on February 13.

Go get him CKB, CMA.

He decommitted right after he got an Ohio State offer
expectation is he’ll end up there.

What was the last Ohio Star Qb worth a darn?

Can’t remember anyone of true significance, but they’re the only program in the country with as much or more money than UT-austin.

Terrelle Pryor gets my vote.

6’7 3* OT from Katy Taylor- other notable offers include Georgia, Florida, TCU, Arkansas, Indiana

This is a big boy, but might need to work on his upper body strength. His Hudl profile says he’s 338 but only benches 315. That seems a bit low to me (spoken as a 5’10" 185 pound dude who’s never dreamed of benching that much). He has a pinned tweet that says he decommitted from Florida on Jan 29. Anyone know why it took us until Feb 17 to offer him? Was he not on our radar while he was committed to Florida? Lord knows we need to stock up on big OL in the next few years.

Maybe driven by our new OL coach

That makes sense. Briles and Clements were hired on 1/6 and the kid decommitted from Florida on 1/29. Timeline still seems long, but we’ll see. I do like that his tweet mentions his dad’s alma mater and his home city. That’s usually a good sign.

Guys with long arms tend to have trouble with bench press and push ups. Still, 315 is pitiful. Regardless of where he ends up, he should start working on that right now.

He is currently a junior in HS. So pitiful is not accurate.

For his size, it is.

Pitiful is a bit strong of a word. But you are right at his size he’s behind on his upper body work. But if he knows it here can work on it and be just fine.

He visited w/ former commitment Ben Montgomery in July. I don’t know why they waited until now to offer him. You’d think a 6’7 guy walks on campus they’d offer him on the spot.
