It wasn’t too long ago that we were Happy with the rare 3*., now most of ours are 3’s with every now and then a 4, more with some transfers…

Getting 3* for last 5+ yrs hasn’t been that much of an issue. It’s getting around 4-6 H.S athletes that are 4* at key positions that will get them back towards the top of Conf. Where they should be year in/year out with Memphis & UCF. Very concerned when I see oddsmaker have them at 5.5 wins for 2020 season!!

The biggest problem remains recruiting.
Since firing Levine it has not been stellar.
Our last 2 classes were somewhat underwhelming.
Once we start winning again, it will improve. Look to next year’s class as this year we have eligible transfers from last year that have been practicing with the team, 36 red shirts, and guys coming off of injury. i expect a decent year coming up.
I think during Levine tenure we were going to join or had joined the Big East which was a power 6 at the time which I belive Herman benefited from. So as some have said, once we join a power conference, our recruiting will improve alot but I also believe if we have a chance to get into the playoffs, our recruiting will improve because of that too.
In addition, we have to get the football only operations center built. If we plan to be competitive for recruits and quality coaches, this building is a must.
10 years ago 3 star athletes were good gets. Now every kid with a d1 offer is darn near a three star. Kickers are 3 star. 4 stars used to be top 250 now they creep towards 350.
3 stars are not what they used to be.
Which begs the question, how good is the star system ?

The star system is what it is. I will take a Houston area or Texas HS player regardless of stars since they are so well coached. In Coach I trust.

BS. 2016 under Judas was pretty solid.
What else can we say at this point, right. We just have to have faith in old coach.
Probably not A&M. He is short for a Fisher quarterback. We are in the running because we will give him a shot at Quarterback.
