A compilation of some of Chuck Weatherspoon’s highlights at the University of Houston. Despite being overshadowed by Andre Ware/David Klingler and the Cougars’ massively influential “Run-n-Shoot” passing attack, Weatherspoon was a key cog in the offense nonetheless. The Round Mound of Touchdown averaged an absurd 8.2 YPC and over 1000 yards rushing, and 400+ yards receiving on 11.8 yards per catch for the Cougars in the late 80’s and early 90’s as both a powerful runner and a dangerous receiver. And it would be a shame not to mention the fact that, as the lone back in the run n shoot, he was tasked with being a good blocker as well.
The games I used to take the clips from can be found on Stephen Barnett’s youtube channel (and there were a few other channels I used as well that you can find if you look around): https://www.youtube.com/user/sbbarnet…
