Clemson Tiger Paw Invitational - Ruiz wins Pole Vault!

Last big meet before conference championships. A lot of good programs and some pros running too (that dang Grant Holloway keeps beating our guys!). Looks like all our top athletes are out there and the next best group are at home in the Howie Ryan Invitational.

No Cougars have made the finals yet in a sprint.

60m: Men - Ware and Booker knocked out in the semis, women - Tristan Evelyn gets to semis

60m hurdels: Men - Dayo and Quivell Jordan get to semis, women - Noami Taylor finishes 9th in semis (top 8 advanced)

Big results in the mile with Vallejo finishing 2nd and freshman Seagreaves finishing 8th. I believe its a new PR for both guys.

The 4x400 team finished 5th yesterday in 3:08.26. Not a bad performance, but compared to last year when the team broke the indoor world record with 3:01.51 out there it looks a little slow, lol. It should be noted that our best 400 guys this year, Holt, did not run. Hopefully he isn’t hurt or if he is that he will be back for conference championships. He would have dropped that time a full 2 seconds.

Only event we won? Well the pole vault of course! Antonio Ruiz won that event with a school record. He was also on the 4x400 team, very impressive to be elite at both those events.
