We still don’t know the official numbers as far as salary (only the beforehand 6 years 18 mil that was offer a few weeks ago after the regular season) and the concessions of the contract. That should be interesting…
Will there be a public announcement-PR event?
A news/press conference ???!
“…and to have the Sampson family in Houston for the future…”

How about that, Coogs? Two big-name coaches who want to call this place home for many years to come.
But, but, but, Arkansas and aTm and all that SEC money was supposed to steal him away…we are ruining their quality sources…
Some on here should be eating crow but we can let it go and you can join the party!

When “speculation” becomes reality. Enjoy the moment. Someone will start a new thread to rant about the HCIW.
It’s already started, but not too much ranting just yet.
We don’t even know the terms yet. Like is it 7 years from now or does he get the job sooner if we win a Final Four game? If it’s 7 years down the road, I’ll worry about it in 6 years.
I’ll worry about it when CKS, Sr. decides to leave or retire.
It’s a risk, but it’s a no brainer for me if it guarantees six more years of the program being at this level. Kellen will deserve a fair shot and has six years to learn how to run a program, how to continue to be a great recruiter and how to be a good in-game and in-practice coach.
I’d be shocked if there aren’t multiple stipulations protecting UH from ever bringing Kellen in as HC and getting off of him easily if needed once he were to become HC. We have seen that college sports coaching issues change on a much faster time scale than 6-7 years. I don’t think it is anything to consider to be honest.
The biggest irony of anyone that complains, this deal basically not only locks down the head coach for 6 more years, but his top assistant coach as well. How the heck is that a bad thing? lol
UH is making the right moves to sign and keep some of the best people in all of college sports.
This university, the board, the president and staff are serious. The trend has been good and getting better for ol’ University of Houston.
GO COOGS
