Coogs enter AAC softball tourney as the #2 seed - Wed - UCONN (W 7-0), Thurs - ECU (W 6-0), Sat - Tulsa (L 1-0)

Be great to see this keep going. Fun team, and they’ve beaten everyone except Tulsa.

Edited (Due to weather concerns, the bracket was changed and the Cougars will start Wednesday now)

Coogs are 80th in RPI so they basically have to win the tourney to proceed beyond this week.

Interesting bracket set up.

The tournament, originally scheduled for May 11-13 at East Carolina’s ECU Softball Complex, will now feature two games on Wednesday, May 10, the initially scheduled practice day. The opening game of the tournament will see No. 3 seed UCF and No. 6 seed ECU (Game 1) face off at noon CT with No. 2 seed Houston and No. 7 seed UConn (Game 2) squaring off at 2:30 p.m. CT.

To maximize the amount of games being played on Thursday, the winners of Game 1 and Game 2 will play in Game 4 on Thursday at approximately 11:30 a.m. CT. The Game 4 winner will subsequently have a bye on Friday.

Neither team has given up a run in this tournament. We’ll see if UH can score enough off of Tulsa’s ace.

1-0 loss in title game

So close, but hats to Tulsa as they’re really good. Fantastic season for a very young Coog team.
