Those will be great reps for our guys. Talk about learning from a pro! J. Joe isn’t what he was, but he’s still an NFL starter because he got smarter as his physical skills fell off.
By the way, Steven Dunbar will be in action tonight for Denver as they take on Atlanta.
Haven’t heard many reports of how he’s doing there; hopefully he gets some time tonight.
one fact has been more and more apparent: rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver is a wrecking ball on Buffalo’s defense.
" This training camp practice featured more red zone work, but the defense, led by Ed Oliver, was the frequent winner."
Positional Battles
Defensive Line
Ed Oliver is giving the coaches every reason to make him the starting defensive tackle, but Jordan Phillips is making him work for it. On Thursday, Oliver dominated a red zone drill, penetrating the backfield on multiple occasions. At one point he moved so quickly that three offensive linemen fell to the ground trying to react.
He is gonna run over folks next week.

Steven Dunbar w 3 for 14 in the Hall Of Fame Game.
He seems to have developed a rapport with the rookie QB they have there which may help land him a spot on the practice squad. Hopefully, he can hang on.
Unfortunately, he also lost a fumble in that game the other night.
Meanwhile River Cracraft had a job in Denver.
This is interesting.
" 3. Jordan Phillips could be force at one-technique in rotation
Rookie defensive tackle Ed Oliver got some more first team work on Sunday and it even came alongside Jordan Phillips, who’s been getting the lion’s share of first team reps at the three technique in front of Oliver.
In the past few practices there has been more reps with Phillips and Oliver on the field together. Phillips shifts to the one technique in this alignment and his size and power make for an interesting combination with Oliver at the three technique. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei is used primarily as a space eater where Phillips may be able to take on multiple blocks and still impact the play in the backfield."
Nothing big info wise, but it is a siting of Kyle Allen
As I remember we were able to keep it a secret before the OU game that he would be starting.

Saskatchewan has D’Eriq King’s rights if he does decide to go to the CFL.
Still think LB or defensive end… then again at end only a RB or pulled lineman would block him… thenb again, they just would do stunts and run the other way… NFL will be different than college for Ed, imo
