The University of Houston and the University of Houston Alumni Association welcomes all outstanding Cougar companies to our newly established community of business excellence, the Cougar 100! The Cougar 100 is fast becoming our most exciting program for recognizing our Cougar owned and operated businesses. As a Cougar business owner or operator, you want to be a part of this program!
The Cougar 100 Program, in its fourth year, is a bold new UH annual tradition that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the world’s fastest growing UH Cougar-owned and Cougar-led businesses. Over 4,000 companies worldwide are owned and led by UH alumni, and the Cougar 100 demonstrates to all that we are among the finest commercial and industry leaders in the world. The listing not only celebrates their success, but also gives Cougars a point of pride and achievement to share with the entire community.
To be considered Cougar-owned, the company must be 51 percent owned by a Cougar or cumulatively by a group of Cougars. Cougar-led companies are considered those with a CEO, president, managing partner or chairman who is a Houston Cougar. Only companies that submit an application are eligible.
Cougar 100 will recognize and celebrate the 100 fastest growing UH-owned or UH-led companies in the country at an announcement luncheon on November 6, 2017 and also in a special edition of the Houston Business Journal and Texas Business Journals in November and we hope you will be part of the list. Plus, all Cougar 100 members will be included in the new Cougar Business Network which will debut this year.
There is no cost to letting UH recognize you and your company as part of the Cougar 100! Your financial information will not be seen by anyone but our designated accounting firm that will tabulate the results and will report to us only the ranking order of the Cougar 100,
