Going to be a tough weekend against two very good teams. Big test for the Coogs to see how far they’ve come this year.

Coogs hung tough as this was a 1-0 game until the 70th minute, but UCF scored 3 goals in 12 minutes to put it away.

_The Houston Cougar Soccer team fell 4-0 at UCF in the American Athletic Conference opener for both teams on Thursday at the UCF Track and Soccer Field. _

Freshman goalkeeper Nicole Young had four saves while Houston had three shots between senior Tiffani Echeverria (2) and junior Kristina Schulz.

Soccer loses, but I thought it was a strong result against one of the top teams in the nation. Shows growth to not be discouraged by the UCF result. Schedule gets a lot easier from here on out so hopefully the Coogs can get a few positive results in conference.
