“We came up short in a lot of areas tonight,” Swimming and Diving Head Coach Ryan Wochomurka said. “It’s certainly disappointing when you lose and we have to find a way to channel that disappointment into motivation against a tough opponent tomorrow. We saw some great things from our breaststrokers and distance freestylers today, and the divers continue to execute at a high level.”
Despite the loss, Houston produced five event victories, from Micaela Bouter (1-meter), Zarena Brown (1000-yard freestyle), Lauren Burrell (3-meter) and Ashley Grijalva (100-yard breaststroke and 200-yard breaststroke).
