This was the case that a vet that enlisted in Georgia, but retired in Texas, brought against the University of Houston and the state of Texas stating that it was discriminatory to not allow all vets to take advantage of the Act. Politicians and University heads had been worried as this would have increased costs linked to the Act ten-fold. It sounds like they will appeal to the Supreme Court so this isn’t the final word.
