ABOUT THE COUGARS
The Cougar men return nine lettermen from the 2016 season and welcome back senior Brian Barraza who missed the campaign after taking a redshirt season. The Cougar men look to improve on an eighth-place finish from the 2016 American Athletic Conference Championships.
The women’s team welcomes back 10 letterwinners from the 2016 campaign but will look to replace graduating senior Selena Sierra, who was Houston’s top finisher in six of seven meets last season. Maddie Brown returns for the Cougars after winning the HBU Invitational last season.
