University of Houston Baseball senior Joe Davis was named to the 2019 Bobby Bragan Collegiate Slugger Award Watch List, the association announced Tuesday.
The Austin native was named among 30 players on initial list for the 2019 season. The award is given annually to given to the top regional hitter who excels on the field, in the dugout and in the classroom. The region includes Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas. Davis was one of three representatives from the American Athletic Conference, joining Jonathon Artigues and Grant Mathews of Tulane.
