Part of today’s BOR agenda is an update on capital projects. The linked material says that the “substantial completion” date for the Fertitta Center is currently December 1, 2018 (see page 11).

Since “substantial completion” doesn’t necessarily mean “ready for occupancy,” we might be well into December 2018 before we can start playing games there.
That means we’re either going to play several road games to start next year, or we’ll have to use another facility for the early-season games.
