Though not born yet, I do remember what happened on Dec 7, 1941.

A great follow on twitter is @ussarizona. Every year they do a timeline of the events leading up to the final attack through tweets in real/current time. Great archival photos of the attack itself. Very sobering and a fitting tribute to the greatest generation.

I remember learning about it, and mark the day.

Finishing up a great show about it on the history channel.

“Pearl Harbor: Survivors Remember”

Those guys and gals dug deep.

It was one of those days where EVERYONE remembers exactly where they were and what they were doing when they first heard the news! For example: I was 14 years old - just short of a week before my 15th birthday, and I was walking home from church with my Mom in Anderson, Texas. When we got to the main part of town, we began to hear people talking about the attack.

It is something I will never - ever - forget. The whole world changed that day!

My uncle joined the Navy as a result. 2 years on a submarine in the Pacific. He was the cook. “Nobody beats me in the kitchen”!

He was also an avid University of Virginia fan. Navy plays UV in a bowl game this month. Not sure if they let you take sides in Heaven, but if he were here, it would be a very difficult choice for him. He loved both.
