Because he is recovering that strained knee Ed mainly lined up at nose guard. I got a kick out of watching him push back at least two or three of the SMU o-linemen on just about every play. He is just an awsome sight to behold…even when he is not operating at 100%…
My favorite play from him this game was running down Sutton and tackling him on the sideline. Sutton got up and said something, probably didn’t expect to get hit that hard down the field on the hash marks.
He played well but clearly not 100%. According to him on twitter, 75%.

That brace was obviously giving him trouble - I think he had to make a run to the locker room to get it adjusted in the first half.
If he was at 100%, the SMU passing game would have looked a lot different.
Still at only 75% he was a one man wrecking crew. Even chasing down receivers and tackling them. He consistently bulldozed their center straight backwards.
