Dimitrova burst onto the scene as a freshman, compiling a 15-3 overall record and an 8-2 mark in dual play while competing from the No. 1 singles position. The Padardzhik, Bulgaria, native posted a 7-1 mark in the fall of her rookie campaign and tallied a win in her flight finals at the Rice Invitational to begin her career.
Dimitrova’s play during the 2016-17 campaign earned her The American Conference Co-Freshman of the Year award and All-American Conference honors.
