Aaron Fletcher | 2.2 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 5 K

Houston starter Mitch Ullom was dominant once again, holding East Carolina to just one run on three hits in 6.1 innings of work, while fanning two and walking three. With that performance, the right-hander improved to 5-2 on the year and 2-0 in league play.

He handed the ball over to sophomore Aaron Fletcher with two runners on and one out in the seventh. Fletcher fanned the two hitters he faced to keep ECU off the board. Fletcher worked around a leadoff hit batter and a single in the eighth to strand a pair and keep ECU to just one run.

Fletcher finished the night with five strikeouts in 2.2 innings, while not allowing a run.

Man it’s nice to see Big Joe’s power coming back. Certainly going to need that to make a deep run.
