What’s the stat line on Ed vs Arizona?
5 tackles, 0.5 TFL, 1 pass defended, and 4 QB hurries. Considering he sat for almost half the game… Wow!

I like how he also showed respect to the Tech O-line. Respect for the opponent leads to more intense preparation which usually leads to a well played game. Go Coogs!
This is going to get interesting as my Coog brothers talk about this.
Shouldn’t be too interesting, Pollack likes Bosa more and they think Ed needs a little more weight and some hand fighting improvement. Nothing crazy, they didn’t bash Ed.
Liking Bosa more isn’t a crime or a slight against us. He really is one of the most polished edge guys people have seen lately. If you need an edge guy more than the interior and you’re team is picking that high Bosa is a better fit right away. Not a dig against Ed at all.
The great thing with Ed is you can’t coach motor and when NFL teams are paying these guys millions you don’t want to have to wonder about the motor part. He is going to give you 100%.
And in a crackling Heisman Trophy campaign just when it seemed all the crackling Heisman Trophy campaigns had dried up, he appears atop one on his bobblehead, this former kid always in motion. He has become a 20-year-old adult football player always in such compelling football motion that former Rice coach David Bailiff called him “as close to the Tasmanian devil on the football field that I’ve ever seen” — long after Oliver mastered an entirely different kind of motion.
And he still drove them back!
