Sad, it’s tough when both are gone.
Wow.
His dad was the reason why he transferred, I believe. I don’t know how going to a school that is far away from home is a good idea! And if his mother has cancer that makes even less sense!
All other kids move closer to home when they have a family tragedy, but King doing the opposite makes no sense to me! Prayers to his family regardless of his decision and regardless whether it makes sense or not!

My guess would be his father knew his time was coming and wanted D’eriq to go somewhere that would allow for D’eriq to have a fresh start.
