ESPN Loses 621,000 Subscribers; Worst Month In Company History (Update: ESPN loses another 555,000)

He has to do something on the digital end.

Today’s espn coverage was not even close to CBS Sports. Lack of camera angles reminded me that we are in a G5. Having to listen to an highly unpleasant voice should never happen. I am not against a female broadcaster. I am against a female broadcaster that sounds like a man. Some might be offended but I do not like to listen scratching sounds coming from a blackboard.

Sadly, not yet. But it’s demise is on the horizon.

The AAC signed a 12 year deal with ESPN that doesn’t expire until 2031/32. Who knows what will be happen next year, much less in 12 years.

As of right now, I watch ESPN a whole lot – college football games on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. I also watch all kinds of college basketball games. Let’s see, just yesterday I watched games on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU, and ESPNNEWS. I also watch ABC, CBS, CBSSN, SECNetwork, and the Fox sports channels.

Bottom line – I don’t want to lose any options.
