My take is PAC 12 and Big 12 are lagging behind in coaching pay. You get what you pay for and this may be tied back to their TV deals.

I disagree with the “you get what you pay for” concept. Sumlin and Herman both made $5M last year.
They’re lagging behind, but it’s not by much, especially when compared to the B1G and ACC. SEC far outpaces everyone which is expected.
I wish there could have been a break-out of the G5 conferences instead of lumping us all together. I would imagine that the AAC far outpaces the other 4 conferences.
What does $75M over 10 years get you? Anything short of 4 National Championship appearances seems like overpaying…
Don’t forget that the whole 10 yr / $75,000,000.00 is guaranteed. He is under no financial pressure to win. He can go 8-5 for 3 or 4 years, get fired, and still collect the money.
