My wife’s uncle, Jim Norris, passed away today. He played for the Cougars and the Oakland Raiders in the early 60s. He grew up in Mercedes where he was an All State athlete in football and track. They recently named their new gym after him. He chose UH because of the big city. On his recruiting trip they took him out onto the Rice Stadium field where he would play. He was impressed. He was a good man.
