Coogs will play the winner of Quinnipac and Wake Forest tomorrow
Thanks for commentary Pray ! . Phew, needed that win Go Coogs
Definitely. They were playing on Liberty’s court so this was basically a road game and didn’t start well. Still some key mistakes, but a win is better than a loss.
This team misses Daymeon Dot VERY badly.
Just my opinion but we rely too much on the three-point shot. We need a more balanced attack with high percentage shots if we’re ever going to win consistently.
We’re 153rd in the nation when it comes to percentage of points scored by 3 point shots (31.7%) and 128th in 3-point attempts per game (23.5) so a lot of it is just the way the game is played these days. We don’t have the height to bang inside and the new rules are really hampering post play and our guys are having problems adjusting so far.
The big key is our guys have to hit those threes we’re taking. They’re capable and getting wide-open looks so it may be more mental than anything right now. This is one of those areas that will probably improve as the season goes along and guys get more comfortable in their roles.
Looks like we’ll get Wake Forest tomorrow. Oddly, Wake Forest hasn’t won a game before today this year with losses to Ga Southern, Liberty, and Drake. Coached by former Kansas/NBA star and former Tulsa coach Danny Manning, the Demon Deacons made the NCAA Tourney last year.
What I like about that video is how Davis hustled back on defense rather than standing there celebrating his put back.
