Rice has scholarship players as well. I watched the game and it appeared to me rice may have been practicing a little rope a dope. rice could have lost that game, no big deal, people would have stopped laughing if they upset UH and that would be an UPSET.
I remember guys on another board saying they would gladly go 1-10 if the one win was against texas. Never agreed or understood that mind set.

This is the mindset at schools with a serious rivalry like The OSU vs Michigan, Army vs Navy, etc. The thing with a rivalry is that the feeling has to be mutual. Otherwise, it’s just one team trying to beat someone they don’t like for whatever reason.

My prediction is the final score shows a closer game than the tape. A comfortable halftime lead coupled with plenty of new faces getting playing time in the second half leads to us getting gashed for a couple long runs resulting in Rice TDs. But it won’t ever be close beyond the first 10 min.
